Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-31
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KnitCraft AI (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
KnitCraft AI generates amigurumi and crochet patterns from images or text descriptions. Generated patterns are suggestions for personal crafting and may be revised, regenerated, or unavailable at any time. Free-tier usage is limited to 2 generations per day for anonymous visitors and 10 generations per day for signed-in users, and may be subject to additional anti-abuse rate limits.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or otherwise abusive.
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Service, including the generation endpoint, without our written permission.
- Attempt to bypass quotas, rate limits, authentication, or other technical controls.
- Interfere with the Service's operation, security, or availability.
- Use the Service to generate content that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
3. Accounts and responsibility
Google Sign-In is optional. If you sign in, you are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must provide accurate information and must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the prompts and images you submit and for having the right to use them.
4. Content and ownership
You retain ownership of the prompts and images you submit. You may use, reproduce, and sell crochet items and patterns that you generate with the Service, subject to the rights of third parties in any source material you provide. We do not claim ownership of your generated patterns.
Patterns are private by default. If you explicitly make a pattern public, you grant us a non-exclusive,
worldwide license to host and display that pattern on the Service (for example, at a public
/p/ page) until you make it private or
delete it. Making a pattern public does not transfer ownership.
5. AI-generated output
Patterns are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and creative purposes. We run an automated stitch-math audit, but we do not guarantee that every instruction is accurate, complete, or suitable for your yarn, hook, or skill level. AI output may contain errors or omissions. Test and verify patterns before using them, especially for items intended for children or for sale.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnitCraft AI and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or materials, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, the greater of USD 20 or the minimum amount required by law).
8. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which KnitCraft AI is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Governing jurisdiction to be confirmed before launch.]
